A quintessentially Irish film, The Banshees of Inisherin explores the shattering of a lifelong friendship between Padraic (Colin Farrell) and Colm (Brendan Gleeson). Set conspicuously in the bleak Aran Islands in the midst of the Irish Civil War, Martin McDonagh’s acclaimed tragicomedy explores themes of violence, despair, self image, legacy, friendship, and pride.
