AAI Film Night: My Night at Maud's (Ma Nuit Chez Maud)

In this French language film, My Night at Maud's (Éric Rohmer, 1969), we will discuss Pascal, sexual morality, faith, and reason with one of the greatest jewels of the French New Wave. PhD candidate Jeronimo Ayesta will present a brief introduction exploring the movie’s themes and notable features.

Jeronimo Ayesta is a teaching fellow and Ph.D. candidate at the Boston College Philosophy Department. Before coming to Boston, he e obtained a first-class honours Master of Arts in Film Studies at King’s College London. His areas of research include film-philosophy, hermeneutics, philosophy of religion, and virtue ethics.
