Leo Strauss and the Christian Tradition

Hosted and co-sponsored by the Harvard Catholic Forum

Led by AAI Student Fellow Reed Morgan and AAI Professional Fellow Shani Agarwal Hood

Through the writings of Leo Strauss, one of the most influential twentieth century political philosophers, this group explores the relationship between a modern ‘secular’ political philosophy and the Christian intellectual tradition. Commentary by Strauss’ interlocutors on political philosophy and religion will be considered as well. The last session will feature a guest lecture by a leading scholar on Strauss.

Reading materials for each session will be sent to registered participants beforehand. Light dinner provided.
