I cannot think of any more worthwhile study for any student on any campus today than to go carefully through all the writings and discourses of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.
— Malcolm Muggeridge

Are you interested in studying the humanities and Western Civilization?

Are you intrigued by the radical shift in Russia and America over the twentieth century?

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn addresses art, literature, Soviet Communism, Capitalism, American freedom, religion, ethics, and the end of the human person in these five speeches. Beginning with his Nobel Prize speech and continuing through his famous Harvard Commencement Address and others, this reading group seeks to foster interdisciplinary discussion on life in the West, engaging with the relevance of the humanities for our time.
